Google My Business Adds New Workflow for Claiming and Review Chips

In an effort to bring more and more functionality to the Transparent Merchant Experience, GMB has now made it so if you are claiming a listing, instead of making you go to a whole new page, you are given a lightbox instead.

The second update is that the “Sort by” section on reviews has been changed to be more in alignment with the new design standard we have been seeing GMB rollout across multiple surfaces. This change is the addition of “CHIPS” to the GMB profile on desktop.
